Calendar feed

Every team member has their own calendar feed in iCalendar (ICS) format. Subscribe to it to see that person’s assignments in Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or any other calendar app that supports internet calendars.

The calendar feed is available on paid plans only.

  1. In the schedule, select the three dots (⋮) next to the person’s name.
  2. Select Subscribe to calendar.
  3. The Calendar Subscription dialog shows the feed URL. Select the URL to highlight it, and copy it.

Admins and Viewers can get the feed of any team member. Self-Editors can only get their own. If everyone in your organization has read access, everyone can get any feed.

  • The person’s assignments that start in the current year or later. Assignments from earlier years aren’t included.
  • Each assignment is an all-day event from its first to its last day. Each assignment of a recurring series is a separate event.
  • The event title is the project name, which is also set as the event’s category. The event description contains the project notes and the notes of the assignment.
  • The calendar is named after the person, for example “Alex Smith - Zeitplan.io”.

The feed is read-only. Changes you make in your calendar app don’t change Zeitplan.io. Holidays and Microsoft Planner tasks aren’t included. If the person is permanently deleted from the schedule, the feed stops working.

In Outlook on the web and the new Outlook for Windows:

  1. Open the calendar.
  2. Select Add calendar.
  3. Select Subscribe from web.
  4. Paste the feed URL, enter a name for the calendar and select Import.

In classic Outlook for Windows, open the calendar and select Add Calendar > From Internet. Paste the feed URL and confirm.

App Where to add the feed
Google Calendar Next to Other calendars, select + > From URL
Apple Calendar on macOS File > New Calendar Subscription

For other apps, look for an option to subscribe to a calendar by URL or to add an internet calendar.

The feed asks calendar apps to refresh it every hour. Each calendar app decides itself how often it actually refreshes subscribed calendars, and many do so less often. Changes in Zeitplan.io can take several hours to appear in your calendar.
