Export and screenshots
You can export the assignments in the schedule to an Excel file, or save the schedule as an image. Both commands are in the More menu in the schedule’s toolbar. Everyone who can open the schedule can use them.
Export to Excel
Section titled “Export to Excel”- In the schedule, choose the View and go to the period you want to export.
- Select More > Export.
Zeitplan.io downloads an Excel file named zeitplan-appointments-<year>.xlsx. Which assignments it contains depends on the view:
| View | Exported assignments |
|---|---|
| Year | All assignments in the selected year |
| Month | All assignments in the selected month |
| Week | All assignments in the selected week |
Assignments that only partly fall into the period are exported with their full start and end dates.
The file has one worksheet with one row per assignment. The column names are always in English:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| User | First and last name of the team member |
| Project | Project name |
| Start Date | First day, as YYYY-MM-DD |
| End Date | Last day, as YYYY-MM-DD |
| Description | The notes of the assignment |
| Blocker | Whether the assignment is a Blocker |
Good to know:
- For team members who aren’t in the schedule any more, such as archived team members, the file contains an ID instead of the name.
- Holidays and Microsoft Planner tasks aren’t exported.
Save a screenshot
Section titled “Save a screenshot”- In the schedule, choose the View and go to the period you want to capture.
- Select More > Screenshot.
- While Creating screenshot is shown, wait. Depending on the size of your schedule, this can take a few seconds.
Zeitplan.io downloads the image as zeitplan.io.png. It shows the schedule in the current view, including the names of the team members. If the timeline is wider than your screen, Zeitplan.io scales it down so the whole timeline fits.
